never try to catch the knife

I was a butcher for a while and this was one of the most useful learnings I acquired. It’s extremely literal. You have to fight your instincts which will always try to clutch what’s slipping from your grasp so that you don’t end up with stitches, grabbing the blade end out of mid air, maybe skewering yourself trying to save the blade from chipping on the tile floor. And that is absolutely it. There is no metaphorical significance to this idea whatsoever. Always, always obey your natural desire to clumsily and frantically grab for the sharp objects you’ve fumble, nothing bad will ever come of it.

Prints of this shirt are made on demand, so it will take a bit longer than a normal shirt to get to you. In my experience a couple weeks is not unusual.
